CHMUN XXII Board of Directors

Secretary-General
Shayaan Dutt
Introducing the man, the myth, the legend himself, Shayaan Dev Dutt. Shayaan is incredible at driving, if the driving was in a parking lot, and his car was one of those kiddie toy cars you got for your 6th birthday. If you see his license plate on the streets (hint it's “DUTT”), please pull over – you don’t want to be near the vicinity of his sexy BMW. His work ethic is freakishly strong, catalyzed by his severe unemployment. When you ask him what his ecs are, his response is “my mom knows a guy,” and for a man no taller than 5’7, his hunchback posture doesn’t make his case any better. Shayaan is an incredible dude to work with, both in and out of MUN. I keep finding myself surprised at how driven he is and his willingness to always help others, even if he has no idea what he’s talking about – don’t ask him for relationship advice. For a man who’s consistently ranked best-looking in pretty much every committee he’s been in, his lack of female interaction sometimes makes me think he’s started swinging for the same team. Nonetheless, Shayaan will make sure that CHMUN XXII is the best and most idiosyncratic conference on the east coast (btw thats an SAT word I taught him).

Secretary-General
Suleiman Rahimzai
Next up is the only delegate in the circuit who can larp being the Wolf on Wall Street and bench press the weight of your entire family lineage simultaneously: CHMUN XXII Secretary-General Suleiman “Suli” Rahimzai! As a current Junior at Chantilly, having been doing MUN since seventh grade, Suli is a force to be reckoned with in your nearest Ad Hoc Crisis. If this economic scholar is not somehow sneaking in “marginal utility” into one of his mods (flee the premises if there’s a 6:30 on funding), you’re guaranteed to see him finding any possible way to modify his gym split for only the 22nd time in a day. In fact, Suli is so infatuated with the gym, that I am confident that it’s nearly become his entire personality outside of AP Econ. I'm serious–this guy can absolutely not go anywhere without taking off his shirt, whether it be the pickleball courts, random hikes, or even while he’s touring the streets on vacation. In any case, he’s SUPPLYING rides for another visit to Planet Fitness or DEMANDING the team to lock in on their assignments, thus it can be said for certain that Suli puts every ounce of effort he has into everything he does–making him the most dedicated and diligent member of the Secretariat (with the sole exception of Shayaan Dutt). I’m beyond excited to work alongside him to make this season a generational run for Chantilly MUN!

Director-General
Tanmay Deshpande
Your AP Lang teacher probably told you that a rhetorical analysis needs ethos, pathos, and logos. Tanmay Deshpande works to bring exactly those qualities into every one of his speeches, arcs, position papers, and directives. It’s very difficult to describe one specific thing that Tanmay does best because everything he does is amazing. He’s one of the most obedient workers at Crumbl, his music taste is really diverse with 90% Drake, and he thinks HABIBTI is house music. If Tanmay’s not at MUN meetings, he’s probably driving around in an ambulance working towards being EMT certified to eventually be a doctor that cares for YOU (I wouldn’t trust him with my life). Otherwise, he’s probably busy studying as he somehow aces every AP Bio test and doesn’t tell anyone how. He also loves his UVA lanyard so make sure to ask him about it when you meet him! As this year’s Director-General at CHMUN, Tanmay is probably going to be walking around with a Vineyard Vines quarter-zip that’s “borrowed” for a few weeks and is definitely going to bring ethos, pathos, and logos to both CHMUN XXII and the club.

Executive Chair
Athri Cheboli
Athri is a hardworking and dedicated student who brings curiosity, leadership, and a strong work ethic to everything he does. In Model UN, he is always prepared, open-minded, and ready to collaborate with others while confidently sharing his ideas. Outside of school, he also enjoys playing basketball.
- P.A.

Executive Chair
Shivani Ghattu
Shivani Ghattu will be one of our Executive Chairs this year! She is a rising senior and my personal favorite boombox. Notorious for opening nearly every committee with “Thanos snapping his fingers once”, Shivani is one of our BEST spec delegates. Beyond her effortlessly flawless hair, makeup, and immaculate music taste, Shivani is known for crafting the most odd food combinations. Pickles and peanut butter, anyone? When she isn’t leading committee or snacking on something weird, you can spot her at Planet Fitness casually walking for over two hours the stair master, all while staring into absolutely nothing. CHMUN is thrilled to have her this year, and I personally can’t wait to work with her again!
- M.Y.

Executive Chair
Moukti Yeruva
Moukti is one of our Executive Committee Chairs for CHMUN XXII! She’ll be a senior this year, and we’re pretty sure she’s hiding a time turner with how many clubs she’s involved in. Outside of MUN, she’s usually listening to Bollywood music, getting creative, or trying something new. She’s so easy to talk to that you might find yourself telling Moukti your entire life story after just one conversation. She’s also super spontaneous, just ask about the mile we ran to a LEGO Store in Chicago (It was closed). Moukti’s been doing MUN since middle school, and I know she’ll bring so much to CHMUN this year. I can’t wait to work with her!

Senior Director
Aditya Sakhare
It’s time for you to meet our newly inducted Senior Director, Aditya Sakhare! Complementary to his niche role, Sakhare, as all of his friends call him, paved his way throughout MUN with motions and unmods that you have never seen displayed in the traditional MUN circuit. His crown jewel “fishbowl discussion mod,” has paved the way for numerous accolades and awards (the gavel still alludes to him). Outside of MUN, you can find Sakhare critiquing the driving skills of all those around him (he failed his first test), and boasting about the difficulty of his AP Research Class. His unique and often bizarre style of Model UN gives him a special place on this team, and we are happy that he is here with us.

Director of Staff
Pranav Adivi
Next up is our Co-Director of Staff, Pranav Adivi! Pranav has been doing MUN for two years, but you’d think it’s been much longer with how naturally he fits into the team. Outside of MUN, you’re most likely to find him on a hiking trail, playing basketball, or making his weekly Taco Bell run. If you ever need someone to help out, he’s always happy to lend a hand, unless he’s already planning his next hike or trying to convince everyone Taco Bell is gourmet cuisine. Throughout the year, you’ll quickly see why he’s such an important part of the staff, and we’re excited to have him helping make this season a great one.
- A.C.

Director of Staff
Kevin Wang
Next up is the best speaker of the CHMUN XXII Secretariat: Kevin C Wang! Kevin has been grinding out MUN since 8th grade, always creating beautiful mods that feel way smoother than silk from the feudal era. When you see that infamous scarf and hear that really loud voice in committee, you WILL KNOW that you are within the presence of one of the greatest modders of all time. Outside of MUN, Kevin loves to hang out with friends (thinks he’s the king), work on top-secret ECs (he gatekeeps them all), grinds out at the gym (nobody knows where), and LOVES to steal food. The moment Kevin glances at your food, you’ll be left starving, which Kevin will call “a donation for the needy.” No matter what Kevin does though, we ALL love him, and he will bring great and grand vibes into CHMUN XXII!
- T.K.

Director of Staff
Srivallabh Sriram
Give it up for Srivallabh Sriram, your Treasurer and Director of Staff. Sri has been doing MUN since 9th grade and is lowkey a generational talent. Despite being your treasurer, Sri somehow manages never to have a dollar on him, and whenever you go get food with Sri, expect to pay double (he's not paying you back). In his free time, Sri plays pickleball, pickleball, and pickleball. If you ever need to find Sri, go to any pickleball court; he’ll be there. With all that time playing pickleball, Sri is in fact the LeBron of pickleball and you genuinely need to react in 0.1 milliseconds for his "scorpion serve". Meanwhile, whenever you're talking with Sri, he will always find a way to make you laugh and he is incredibly fun to talk to... until he abruptly starts talking about his WIPO knowledge. On the other hand, in school, Sri is an academic weapon, if the weapon was blunt and could only hurt a squirrel. I have never seen Sri touch a textbook in his life, and whenever it comes to anything academic for longer than 20 minutes, you will notice that his phone somehow turned sideways (Brawl Stars). However despite that, when it comes to anything engineering, his phone returns vertically and he all of a sudden becomes a NASA engineer with 17 years of experience (he was building things in the womb). All that being said, with Sri's abnormally high melanin complexion, as long as you don’t drop him in a dark room, you will always be able to see his hard efforts to make Chantilly M.U.N. succeed, and I am incredibly excited to work alongside Sri this year.

Director of Crisis
Tanmayi Vellanki
Round of Applause for your best Co-Director of Crisis Tanmayi Vellanki! Tanmayi has been doing mun since 8th grade, where she can be instantly recognized by the smell of her gourmand perfume and the rattle of the pink lululemon lanyard that she brings everywhere (including committee). Though a vegetarian, she will ostensibly eat you alive if you try to powerdel her unmod, especially in Q&As that follow. Outside of MUN Tanmayi can be found straightening her hair for 4 hours, studying Calc BC for 4 hours, and arriving to everything, 4 hours late. Despite her chronic tardiness, she’s always the first to give you a ride, pay for your food, and make everyone in the room laugh. Whether she's unintelligibly laughing with the best Co-Director of Hospitality, or avoiding her history readings by listening to The Weeknd, Tanmayi brings an unparalleled sense of humor (and heart) that will reflect in every Crisis committee at CHMUN XXII.
- A.B.

Director of Crisis
Varun Kishore
Next up is Varun Kishore, your Co-Director of Crisis! Varun is the personification of the saying that everything good takes time, starting his MUN career late in his Freshman year and gradually blossoming into a more confident and formidable delegate in his junior year, with the awards to match. Outside of MUN, you’ll find Varun snacking on Kurkure (which he refers to as a hidden gem he buys from Lotte) and constantly claiming that he could do a windmill dunk at any given moment, even though he got cut from the Freshman team. Although Varun lacks the extraordinary athleticism that he often attributes to himself, he makes up for it by helping out nearby pickleball teams, always pitching in for the next tournament.
- A.E.

Director of Crisis
Amanuel Esayas
Introducing one of your Crisis Directors, Amanuel Esayas. He started MUN right as he stepped into Chantilly, and got an extremely skeptical verbal in his first ever collegiate conference, one of his first few achievements, which was followed last year by an extremely deserved Gavel at RockMUN due to his controlling style of debate. Out of committee, Amanuel loves to boast his exquisite basketball skills, the same ones that got him cut from the freshman team. To make up for all that, he is debatably the best in FIFA player that I've ever known. And the contrasts continue with his preferred cuisine of Japanese food and favorite free time activity of watching One Piece, the slowest and longest waste of time.
- V.K.

Director of Hospitality
Tejesh Vaddi
Introducing the biggest diva to ever enter Chantilly MUN, your Webmaster and (arguably worse) Co-Director of Hospitality, Tejesh Vaddi! Tejesh has been doing MUN since 6th grade and, despite being the youngest member of Secretariat, somehow has four years of experience. His dedication to MUN is purely for the love of the game, as he insists it has “nothing to do” with his college career. Tejesh is best described as a person who could explain every scene on Love Island and how to code LLMs using differential equations in the same sentence. When he’s not using his Ninja Creami, voting on Love Island, coding, or stressing over his GPA and ECs, he’s likely waiting in line for an overpriced matcha or invading the two female directors’ homes. Though Tejesh may talk to Claude more than his friends, he is known as one of the most loved members of Chantilly MUN, as an academic weapon, comically zesty guy with unresolved jinn trauma, but most of all a devoted delegate whose efforts will be prevalent throughout Chantilly MUN.
- A.B.

Director of Hospitality
Ananya Bhattacharjee
Give it up for the better Co-Director of Hospitality, Ananya! Ananya has been doing MUN since her freshman year and is arguably the most intellectual person on the team, but be careful with your wording to avoid a lecture, because god forbid she hears a trigger word, you will get a detailed explanation of the psychological term for that (she calls this the cocktail party effect). Outside of MUN, you’re more than likely to find her sleeping at odd times, but occasionally she likes a good book and watching comfort dramas. If you see her in the halls, feel free to go up to her, unless it’s after a chem test. Throughout the year, look forward to club meetings, because her duo with the best Co-Director of Crisis is what keeps this club going.
