Welcome future delegates, 

Writing the story for this year’s Ad Hoc Specialized Agency has been incredibly personal to me and has been one of the rare occasions that I find myself truly enjoying the buildup towards CHMUN: it's something I got to do on my own time and in however way I liked (which is pretty much never in this club). 

The only way to prepare is to understand that there is no way to prepare. The topic is one that, although you may have some background knowledge on, is situated in a context never seen before. I spent the summer playing around with the different committee mechanics and was finally able to create something that blended the realistic yet fictional aspect which make specialized agencies feel personal and fun to me. 

I hope you enjoy debating this topic as much as I did writing it. To be honest, I'm jealous of only authoring this committee and not being able to experience it firsthand. Expect to be surprised, be ready to adapt, and most of all, have fun with it–that’s all I have to say.
