Greetings,

Developing the Ad Hoc Crisis has been one of my favorite parts about preparing CHMUN this January. I can personally ensure that this year’s topic selection absolutely cannot be prepared for prior to the committee, regardless of existing background knowledge. For some of you, this may fire off a crazy neuron activation, and for others it may be an entirely new experience altogether.

Having done Model UN for 5 years now, my greatest regret is not trying out a crisis committee until I got to high school. It was then where my first ever crisis experience was, in fact, a double delegation simulation. Through all the heinous arcs I have developed from then to now, I can certainly say that the most rewarding part about participating in such a committee is seeing how (your) chaos comes to life. Now being able to develop my own committee, I am ecstatic to see the direction you plan to take with this.

With all that being said, I suggest that you walk into a committee hyped with energy and get ready for the unpredictable (and rather gimmicky) rollercoaster of the Ad Hoc Crisis!
