We are very excited that you joined MUN. You might be wondering what Model United Nations is. Model United Nations or MUN is a network of high school students who go to conferences at other schools and try to address and resolve issues that are facing the world. These issues can be anything from AIDS in Africa, poverty in India, or the situation in Darfur.

By joining this club you have should your desire to help people in need. The Chantilly MUN club is a great way to meet new people from Chantilly High school and from other high schools who have the same desire to resolve issues affecting the world. The Chantilly MUN club has a meeting every Thursday @ 2:20 in the Lecture Hall. This year we will be going to 3 conferences, one of them a overnight conference and hosting one conference of our own. • CHMUN(our own): January 8-9
• TechMUN(TJHSST): April 9-10

CHMUN is hosted by our club. All of the club members will be able to help out. You guys will be able to see what it takes to run a successful conference. Last year we had about 300 students from other high schools who attended our conference.

In all honesty, MUN can sometimes get a little time consuming and over-whelming, and even more so if you’re not sure what you are supposed to research. That’s why we are here. This year we are going to be having workshops and clinics during our club meeting in order to help you guys out on your research and papers. This way you will have a lot less to worry about when you are at a conference.
